Volunteer Opportunity: Reading at The Boys and Girls Club Summer Program

Members: Join us at the Boys and Girls Club of Rutherford County on Wednesday, July 15th to read to students at their summer program! We're looking for 2-3 volunteers to drop in either between 9am-11am or 12-1pm to read. Feel free to bring your own book or the club can also supply.

**Important note: Once you've RSVP'd here, please email Bailey at bailey@waxeloquent.com with what time you plan to be there and to get a copy of the volunteer application to take with you.

This event will be held at 820 Jones Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

Volunteer Opportunity: United Way Stuff the Bus (Supply Sorting) (July 27, 2026)

Volunteer Opportunity: United Way Stuff the Bus (Supply Sorting)

Members: Join us for United Way's Stuff the Bus on Monday, July 27th to help sort donated school supplies! We're looking for 2 volunteers to help from 9-11am.

Volunteers will assist with collecting supplies as they are dropped off, unpacking, counting, and sorting school supplies by type. Light lifting may be required.

This event will be held at 1303 Jones Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.

What is United Way's Stuff the Bus?

Stuff the Bus is an initiative providing students with the tools to begin school prepared and confident. Early childhood education plays a vital role in every aspect of our adult lives, determining income status, state of health and even incarceration rates. We work directly with school systems to ensure that supplies as distributed to students who need them most.

Thanks to the support of our community, the United Way of South Central Tennessee Stuff the Bus initiative has provided over 30,000 local students with school supplies since 2012. This year's collected school supplies will be distributed to ten school districts across our seven county service area: Bedford, Cannon, Coffee, Lincoln, Moore, Rutherford, and Warren counties.
